Update to recent renovations to our local library

A big thanks to the Local Council and all who have helped in the renovations and refurbishments to the beautiful building that was kindly donated by the Mountsberry Family Trust. The renovations have now been completed and the opening ceremony was a big success with a large turnout from all of the community. Members of the Mountsberry family were present to view the cutting of the ribbon and to see the Mayor officiate in the placement of a plaque to commemorate the event.

The Library officially re-opened 4 weeks ago and since then the library has been very busy organising new events and workshops. From homework help for the local schools to author talks and workshops for the school holidays.

We have been very lucky to be able to update our facilities and have added new computers, for staff and community users; as well as adding two new meeting rooms which have electronic projection screens and room to host a meeting for up to 20 people.

The Libraries new opening hours are Monday to Thursday 8am till 5pm; Friday to Saturday 8am till 9pm; Sunday is open between 11am and 3pm.  To book a computer register on-line or ring 08 9432 9281 or talk to library staff at the front desk.

I hope you enjoy our brand new Mountsberry Heights Community Library.
